Newframes is a Brussels-based platform dedicated to impact cinema, organizing film screenings, discussions, and initiatives that explore global challenges and connect civil society, institutions, and audiences.
In a world saturated with content, films rarely move beyond the screen. They inform, they inspire — but too often, they stop there. Newframes was created to challenge that limitation. Built on the belief that cinema can be a powerful lever for transformation, NewFrames goes beyond supporting films' production to design advocacy ecosystems — where storytelling meets policy, and where audiences become participants in shaping societal change.

Adam Leipzig
PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD
Adam is a seasoned film executive whose 38 productions — including Academy Award-winning March of the Penguins, Dead Poets Society, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids — have earned 10 Oscar nominations and numerous BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Sundance recognitions. His documentary A Plastic Ocean has inspired over 150 laws worldwide. A sought-after advisor in film production and high-impact storytelling, he also serves as faculty at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and is the author of two Macmillan books on filmmaking.
Claire Montandon
CO-FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE
Claire Montandon is a film producer and the founder of NewFrames (International Film Festival of Advocacy), the world's first international impact film festival, based in Brussels. Driven by the conviction that films shouldn't stop at the screen, she has made NewFrames a space where filmmakers, artists, policymakers, civil society and the business world meet around the questions that define our era. She is also the co-founder of two production companies, Sunyata Films (Brussels) and CinemaLibre (Paris).
Xavier Guerrero Yamamoto
CO-FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE
Xavier Guerrero Yamamoto is a film producer and co-founder of Cinema Libre (France) and Sunyata Films (Belgium). As Alejandro Jodorowsky’s closest producing partner, he produced The Dance of Reality, Endless Poetry and Psychomagic, A Healing Art. Trained in Chile as an industrial engineer with a master’s in business engineering, and later at the London Film School, he combines structural rigor with a deal-maker’s instinct — building the cross-border co-productions, financing and partnerships that make risk-taking cinema viable. He is also co-founder of NewFrames, the Brussels-based International Film Festival of Advocacy, where he leads strategy and business development.
Leslie Musimenta
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Communication and production assistant with a background in strategic communication and cultural production. She has worked with cultural institutions and European NGOs on projects blending culture, civic engagement, and social impact — bringing a sharp editorial eye to narratives that connect audiences and elevate creative discourse.
