First Edition - 8 - 12th June 2027
NewFrames is a film festival of advocacy: a place where cinema doesn’t just tell stories: it engages with the questions shaping our world. In June 2026, we gave a first glimpse of it in Brussels, bringing together filmmakers, artists, policymakers and audiences around the ties between creativity, technology and trust.
This pre-launch leads the way to the very first NewFrames Film Festival, 8–12 June 2027.
Pre-Launch - 22 - 24th June 2026
In June 2026, Newframes brought this vision to Brussels for the first time: three days convening guest of honour Darren Aronofsky, artist Kendell Geers, and a European Parliament programme on human agency, AI and the future of storytelling, alongside the first European edition of the Digital Trust Summit. This pre-launch tested the format and the ideas that shape the very first Newframes Film Festival.
